Cookie Policy
Last updated 8 May 2026. This policy explains the cookies and similar tracking technologies used on kunalwaghmare.com, why they are used, and how you can control them.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device and remember your preferences across visits. Some cookies are essential for the site to function; others are used for analytics or personalisation.
2. Cookies I use
This site uses two categories of cookies:
Essential / preference (no consent required):
kw_consent_v1— local storage entry recording your cookie preference. Stored on your device only; not transmitted. Persists until you clear browser data or use 'Manage cookie preferences' in the footer.
Analytics (consent required, off by default):
_ga— Google Analytics 4. Distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after 2 years. Anonymised at the IP level._ga_[ID]— Google Analytics 4 session cookie. Expires after 2 years._gid— Google Analytics. Distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after 24 hours.
If you accept analytics, Google Tag Manager may also load — used solely as a container for the GA4 tag, not for advertising or remarketing.
3. Cookies I do NOT use
- No advertising or remarketing cookies (Facebook Pixel, Google Ads conversion, LinkedIn Insight, etc.).
- No social-media tracking pixels.
- No third-party affiliate tracking.
- No A/B-testing or session-replay tools (Hotjar, FullStory, etc.).
- No cross-site fingerprinting.
4. Your control
When you first visit the site, a cookie banner asks you to accept or decline analytics. Your choice is remembered.
You can change your preference at any time by clicking 'Manage cookie preferences' in the site footer. This clears your stored choice and re-shows the banner.
You can also block all cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) provide controls under Privacy or Security settings. Note: blocking essential cookies may break site functionality; blocking analytics cookies will not.
5. Do Not Track
This site respects the 'Do Not Track' (DNT) browser signal. If your browser sends a DNT header, no analytics cookies are loaded — regardless of your banner choice.
6. More information
For full details on how I handle personal data, including your rights under GDPR and the DPDP Act 2023, see the Privacy Policy.
For Google Analytics specifically, you can opt out at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
